ABOUT

The Golf Society was founded in 2017 by Jordan Jeske, who recognized a need to change the way we play and connect to the game of golf. Inspired by companies like Top Golf and Travis Matthews, The Golf Society was created in hopes to grow the game in a more fun, social and inclusive setting. We have 3 main experiences that we host each year. The Canada Day Range Party Experience, The Sip N Rip Charity Golf Tournament and The Chubbs Championship Mini Golf Tournament. We have partnered with companies like Remax, Lululemon and other brands around the city to provide these experiences to their communities and make the game more inclusive.

OUR INITIATIVE

Along with growing the game, we are very passionate about giving back and making a difference in our communities. From the very beginning we knew we could use these experiences to empower those around us and have worked with Make A Wish, KidSport, Big Brothers Big Sisters and other groups to raise funds for deserving causes.

Over the last few years, we recognized a gap in the Edmonton area for organizations supporting and making the game more accessible to children from all walks of life. So in 2020, we decided as a team to direct our raised funds towards hosting and supporting junior programs, events and experiences for children from all backgrounds to give them the opportunity to play the game. Every event that we host or swag we sell, will help us raise money to cover the costs associated with playing golf for these kids.

This year we are committing to give 500 kids the opportunity to play golf. Collaborating with local charities, programs and golf courses to host fun, positive and inclusive experiences where these kids will feel comfortable and confident to keep playing the game.

WHY IT MATTERS

We all know golf is expensive and can take a long time to play, and for many of those new to the game it can be more frustrating and intimidating than fun. The game is changing and more people are interested in playing than any time before. We have an opportunity to really show the world what this game is all about and provide experiences that make everyone feel more comfortable and confident on and off the golf course. We believe we can facilitate this change and give individuals the opportunity to do something they have never done and connect with people they have never met all while having a positive impact on, and making a difference in, our communities.
